Sarah Dickson I’m from Costa Rica, and like any good tico, I’m always looking for new ways to relax and enjoy nature. Recently, I had an experience that I absolutely recommend: the Sealounge Sunset Tour.
Easy Pickup and a Smooth Start
If you’re staying in the Jaco or Herradura area, you’re in luck — transportation is included. I got picked up and taken straight to the beach. There, a water taxi was waiting to take us to the catamaran.
Welcome Aboard
As soon as I stepped on the catamaran, I was greeted with a refreshing welcome drink. That small touch instantly set the tone for the trip.
The ride to Playa Fantasia takes about 45 minutes. During that time, we were served snacks with tasty dips, fresh fruit, and drinks. And yes — there’s an open bar, so you can fully relax and enjoy the moment.
Playa Fantasia: A Hidden Paradise
When we arrived at Playa Fantasia, I was amazed. The beach has white sand, crystal-clear water, and is located in a beautiful nature reserve.
You can relax in beach chairs, swing in a hammock, or go for a walk. There’s also time to play volleyball, soccer, try surfing, or use a boogie board. It’s peaceful, fun, and totally disconnected from the stress of daily life.
Delicious Lunch by the Sea
While on the beach, we had a delicious included lunch. The grilled skewers were flavorful and cooked perfectly. Eating with the ocean in front of me was a highlight of the day.
Local Touches
The beach also has a bar area and a small souvenir shop. I found some beautiful local items and t-shirts in all sizes — a perfect keepsake to remember the day.
Sunset on the Way Back
The return trip was just as special. We cruised back on the catamaran while watching the sunset paint the sky with amazing colors. It was the perfect moment to relax with a drink and take incredible photos.
